6 Gastronomies
Medical Gastronomy
There were four kinds of doctors in China in the ancient past. Those who treated illnesses with medicine, surgeons who healed patients with surgical knives, veterinarians, and dietitians who managed all facets of nutrition. Amongst them, dietitians were of the highest order as they oversaw the nutritional intake of kings. While dietary habits are acknowledged as crucial within the medical field, the realm largely remains uncharted.
In an effort to materialize Medical Gastronomy as proposed by Hajime Yoneda, GastroMedica, Inc., was established in collaboration with the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center. We strive to explore the potential of healthcare and gastronomy.
